Pisaq im Urubambatal gilt nach Cusco als eine der wichtigsten Städte der Inkas. Um zu den Ruinen zu gelangen fährt man von Cusco aus am besten mit dem Bus und geht dann zu Fuß ca. 60 bis 90 min. hinauf. Etwa 300 Meter über dem Tal erstreckt sich die Anlage aus Resten von Häusern, Tempeln und Palästen über mehrere Quadratkilometern.
